Crosby Knob Shelter

Forest and I absolutely kicked butt today! We were up early and back on the Trail by 9 a.m., and the weather and the views were absolutely beautiful again.

We hiked 13 miles today to Crosby Knob Shelter (mile 229.9). I was so glad to beat the rain. Tomorrow I won't be so lucky, but we have only 10.5 miles to go to my next resupply box at Standing Bear Farm/Hostel and, more importantly, to the end of the Smokies! Because tomorrow night is going to be in the 20s, I plan to spend the night there.

For my fly fishing friends, I smell a zero day (or maybe even 2?) on a river coming in the very near future! Can't wait to try out my new Tenkara rod and some of the flies you all donated!
