We hiked 10 miles today to Plumorchard Shelter (mile 73.8), which is the last shelter on the Trail in Georgia. There wasn't much flat ground on today's hike, and we had light rain off and on which made it a little slippery.
We will cross into North Carolina tomorrow at mile 78, unless the weather worsens (they are predicting rain again, with possible thunderstorms), and I decide to take a zero day to wait it out. All is well with both of us.
(Note from Admin: Fisher and Forest passed into an area without cell reception this afternoon and will not get it back until tomorrow afternoon, or even Monday if they decide to take a zero day on Sunday. SPOT is able to send location signals regardless, so we will know when he is on the move and will keep the blog updated accordingly.)
