Climbing, Climbing, Climbing

We have been climbing all day, and are at about mile 57.5 of the Trail, at an elevation of 4,400 feet. Forest wanted to pose for some scenic shots.


The GPS app that I'm using makes it easy to plot our course on the Trail and shows locations of water, shelters, campsites and scenic overlooks. By setting goals for sections of the Trail, we are able to achieve manageable milestones, rather than constantly thinking about the hundreds of miles that lie ahead.
